Honoring Our Heroes: How C.R. England Celebrated Driver Appreciation Week 2024
This past September, C.R. England, alongside trucking companies nationwide, participated in National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, dedicating the week to expressing our gratitude to the heroes of the road. Celebrating Driver Appreciation Week has been a valued tradition since its establishment in 1998 by the American Trucking Association. Since then, C.R. England has remained committed to recognizing and honoring the vital contributions of truck drivers across the country.
The week of celebration is a highly anticipated time of year for all C.R. England employees, whether they are behind the wheel or behind any other capacity of the business. So, what did C.R. England do this year to celebrate?
Companywide Driver Celebration Initiatives
Throughout the week, C.R. England made every effort to celebrate its drivers. The headquarters proudly displayed a series of yard signs along the street, each one declaring “We Love Our Drivers,” serving as a visible testament to the company’s deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work of its drivers.
Company barbecues and luncheons were held across the country, from the east coast to west and everywhere in between. Fleets could enjoy a bite to eat with their fellow truck drivers as they met with C.R. England family members and leadership groups.
Along with those in-person celebrations, post cards were sent to the families of our truckers who brave the road every day, thanking them for their endless support and help “keeping our wheels turning”.
Anyone who sacrifices time from their loved ones is acknowledged and given the proper thanks they deserve. We value our values here, one of which is ‘We Are Family.’
“Family runs deep at C.R. England. In this family, each individual matters. Through mutual respect and genuine care, we are here for each other.”
A Gift for the Road
C.R. England prides itself in being a family-oriented, family-run business. Each employee is important, and their hard work and dedication was not overlooked during Driver Appreciation Week. Each year, every driver receives a gift, and while gifts vary year to year, it was time to shake things up a bit with vacuum-sealed, insulated water bottles.
Trucking with Gratitude
As National Driver Appreciation Week came to a close, C.R. England was quick to thank all of the incredible drivers who sport the C.R. England Red. Social media played a key role in spreading the love during this beloved week, as daily video content was published on the company accounts. From a light-hearted skit to a message from our internal departments, content never fell short in reminding our drivers how important and loved they are.
Though we’ve closed Driver Appreciation Week for 2024, C.R. England has truckloads of thanks for our drivers year-round. As truckers, we keep everything moving forward. Whether it’s a sanctioned week or a regular day, we’re thankful for you!
